PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program at Coastal Medical
The Coastal Pharmacy Program was developed in 1997 through a partnership with the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy.
All Coastal Medical offices have clinical pharmacists on site to provide Medication Therapy Management Services and Collaborative Disease State Management Services directly to patients at no cost.
The pharmacists collaborate with the medical staff on the care of patients. They see patients one-on-one for medication reviews, medication teaching, medication management, collaborative diabetes management, collaborative lipid management, collaborative hypertension management, and other chronic illness management.
The Coastal Pharmacy Program staff also leads, oversees, and maintains an innovative training and educational program for students within the university's Doctor of Pharmacy and post-Doctorate pharmacy residents.
